Two Approaches to Individuality: How to Live and Become Abundantly with Our Natures

For a long time, I have considered how to show our individuality. Then, I finally started to see that framework. Today, I introduce it. This article is my current answer to how to use our individuality.

How to use our individuality

Sometimes, we want to use our individuality to become abundant, especially when we cannot live the same way as our surroundings.

We could have various strange natures. We may not be able to work as employees because we want to do everything freely at our own risk. We may not be good at socializing because it stresses us.

We know our innate individuality caused those difficulties. We cannot overcome those natures, no matter how hard we try.

That is why we want to use it efficiently. In other words, we need another way to live and rebuild our lives.

However, we sometimes don’t know how to realize it. That makes us despair.

In such a case, knowing the following two approaches might help us show our individuality: locational and temporal. Today, I will introduce them.

Two approaches to individuality

Individuality is the nature of being different from the masses. It means we need to shift some of our areas of activity away from the masses.

We can realize it with the following two approaches:

  • Locational approach: Knowing a wide range of cultures allows us to find and show our own value. By changing the environment of something, we gain the power to create abundance. This is good for building our lifestyles or businesses.
  • Temporal approach: Learning history enables us to find advantageous things that change over time. By keeping away from social trends, we can secure relatively affordable, valuable resources that will have value in the future. This is called investing.

These two are the main approaches to living with individuality. Let me explain in more detail below.

Knowing two types of individuality

Although there are various qualities, we can classify them into two types of individuality, as follows:

  • Permanent individuality: Unchangeable qualities throughout life, no matter how hard we try. Not knowing where to use our individuality makes us suffer.
  • Temporal individuality: The nature of wanting to be away from the crowd. Being in the mass trend itself makes us anxious.

Perhaps you can understand this difference soon. The difference is ability and desire. The former is the nature of being unable to do as the surroundings. The latter is the want not to be the same as the surroundings.

We have to distinguish them and deal with them differently.

Permanent individuality

As the former, permanent individuality, we can find how to use our personalities by knowing a wide range of cultures. I explained this in the previous article (this article).

This world is diverse. Knowing it gives us opportunities.

It means we have to change spatially in some areas. Focusing on a different kind of space gives us new opportunities.

Temporal individuality

As the latter, temporal individuality, we call this an investment. We can secure valuable things relatively cheaply by not following the current mass trends.

Perhaps our ability to predict the future brings us the want to keep our distance from society. If we find the trend is at its peak now, the value will only decline in the future.

That makes us realize we don’t have to do it now. We can wait now and get it in the future. It is cheaper that way. That makes us keep away from social trends.

To put it another way, this is investing. Investment is a value-creation activity that uses time.

We can create abundance with our individuality by such two approaches. This is my framework for how to use our individuality.

The suitable era

By the way, each of these two approaches has its suitable era, as follows:

  • When the world tends to be stable, the locational approach would work.
  • When the world is in confusion, the temporal approach would suit.

In my prospect, we are in a period of shifting from stability to confusion. It tells us learning about the history and investment could be efficient now.

Conclusion

Knowing the following two approaches might help show our individuality: locational and temporal.

We can know a wide range of cultures. That allows us to change the environment specially. We can also learn history. That gives us advantageous things that will change over time.

They might allow us to become abundant while finding and using our individuality.
