Why Empathic, Logical People Who Are Sophisticated Appear to Be Extroverts

After I started to live rationally, my beliefs changed. Although I have decided based on rationality, interestingly, I feel I have become more spiritual and like an extrovert.

Despite resembling a mental complex, it is not one. I realized that a sophisticated person who is empathic and logical looks like an extrovert. Let’s talk about it.

How to know our potential

Sometimes, we want to know our potential.

One typical example is how to use our empathy and logical sense. We want to know how we can live if we use these unique qualities efficiently.

I have always wanted to know that.

Fortunately, after I started to live rationally, I gradually understood how to live comfortably with this nature.

Rationality makes us appear extroverted to others, although we are not extroverted. Perhaps that is the most confusing part of personality. Today, I will explain why. This distinction might help you live well.

Four types of personality

If we are empathic and logical and have obtained philosophy, we may appear extroverted to others. Although we are not extroverts, interestingly, we will start to behave like them.

To explain it, let’s look at human personalities. In my classification, there are four types, as follows:

We classify our personalities by two axes: empathy and logical sense.

There are four personality types, as follows:

  • Extroverts: They are less empathic and non-logical. They live now, don’t worry about the future, are sociable, and don’t help weak people.
  • Traditional empaths: (Not in use this time.)
  • Innovative empaths: They are empathic and logical. They consider and worry about the future, prefer being alone to socializing, and want to help weak people.
  • Innovators: (Not in use this time.)

Assume we are innovative empaths.

Two types of innovative empaths

We are fundamentally the opposite of extroverts. However, if we become rational, we will appear extroverted to others.

To distinguish that, I will classify innovative empaths into the following two types:

  • Immature innovative empaths are people who have not developed their philosophy yet. They mainly judge based on emotions. They tend to have an inferiority complex and confused minds. They lack balance.
  • Sophisticated innovative empaths are people who are already rational enough. They mainly judge based on their refined philosophy and principles. They are freed from an inferiority complex and confusion. They are balanced.

We need to become the latter—sophisticated innovative empaths. That makes our lives easier.

If we cultivate rationality, we might feel like we have become more extroverted.

For example, we stop worrying about the future. It means we come to live in the now. We reduce the stress of social interactions. We don’t help weak people carelessly. We start to ignore others’ superficial negative emotions. It sounds like we became more extroverted.

Extroverts vs. sophisticated innovative empaths

However, sophisticated innovative empaths are entirely different from extroverts. I will list the differences below.

About living in the moment:

  • Extroverts cannot become anxious about the future. They cannot take measures based on their judgment.
  • Sophisticated innovative empaths become anxious about the future. However, since they immediately judge it and take rational measures, they are freed from anxiety.

About self:

  • Extroverts live now instinctively. It looks like they are filled with ego.
  • Sophisticated innovative empaths live with empty minds. They judge based on rationality, which appears to have no ego.

About socializing:

  • Extroverts cannot live alone. That makes them want to be with others, even without purpose or a goal.
  • Sophisticated innovative empaths can live alone, but they can also reduce social stress. In certain situations, socializing is more effective. That makes them socialize.

About joining the celebration and party:

  • Extroverts participate in a party to enjoy themselves.
  • Sophisticated innovative empaths participate in a party to please someone. Once they achieve the goal, they go back home quickly and happily.

About helping others:

  • Extroverts leave behind almost all weak people because they cannot feel others’ emotions.
  • Sophisticated innovative empaths leave behind almost all weak people because they have the wisdom that they don’t know if the superficial misfortune will be good or bad in the long run.

About skills:

  • Extroverts don’t have the skill to show off. They are poor at acquiring new skills.
  • Sophisticated innovative empaths don’t show their skills unless necessary. Although they are proficient at acquiring skills, they prefer being low-profile.

This might be the cause of confusion about personality. Although they look similar, they are fundamentally different.

Conclusion

That is why rationality makes us appear extroverted to others, although we are not extroverted.

This might be the cause of confusion about personality.

This distinction might help you live well.
