Explaining why we feel blessed with good fortune when we have direction in life

Recently, I have talked about our directions in life. They make our lives better while eliminating stagnation. Today, I will explain why we feel having continuous fortune when we have direction in life.

How to get fortunate

Sometimes, we want to be fortunate, especially when we experience bad events continuously in the short term. There could be many misfortunes, such as losing something we don’t want to lose, having things don’t go as planned, or encountering unexpected obstacles.

Fortune is an event that accelerates achieving our goals or wishes. On the other hand, misfortune is an event that prevents our wants. Either way, the more unexpected we are, the more we feel fortunate or unfortunate.

That is why we want only good luck.

However, we don’t know how to be fortunate.

Today, I will explain why we feel having continuous fortune when we have direction in life. This knowledge might allow us to focus on our direction in life rather than good or bad luck.

Why a direction in life makes us feel fortunate

People with a direction in life often feel blessed with fortune.

The reason is simple. We can use any event as an opportunity to move in our direction.

Let me introduce my recent experience. Recently, I have been heading toward a secluded life in the countryside. I finally understand that a patient lifestyle in a stressful society doesn’t suit me. I realized I prefer a peaceful life with meditation to a competitive life. That made me begin to go in the seclusive direction this year.

After that, I started to have a series of good fortunes. Many events assisted my progress in my direction.

My case of moving

These days, I have had several unexpected events. For example, I had to leave my current house within a year. Several pieces of furniture or home appliances have reached their limits and begun to break. What I wanted to buy was all sold out.

I was depressed each time because I could not realize my plan.

However, I noticed I can use any event as an opportunity to move in my direction.

They looked unlucky because they hindered my plan. However, I realized they are consecutive good luck if I head toward my seclusive life. I can leave my current house. I wanted to move. If I go in that direction, I don’t need to buy new furniture if I move soon.

In other words, if we head in our direction, everything that happens can motivate us to go in that direction.

Losing attraction in the wrong direction

Maybe I am no longer attracted to the wrong direction. If someone were to like me and invite me to speak on a big public stage, I would be tired. That will make me head toward a seclusive life.

Whether society appreciates me or not, I can go in my direction either way.

That made me feel like nothing but good luck happens. I feel like I have put down my anchor on something stable.

In addition, I felt those events occurred in succession at the best time I needed them. It was as if those events were destined. Although I knew they were coincidences, I felt something strange and fateful.

Not distinguishing what a fortune is

In this state, perhaps we cannot distinguish what a fortune is. A typical example is a blessing in disguise. A bad experience can turn into a good one later. It means we cannot predict what is good or bad. My current mental state made me feel so.

It tells us we don’t need to think positively because our judgment of positive or negative could change. If we head in the opposite direction, good or bad will be the opposite.

If we understand we cannot distinguish fortune or misfortune, we can let go of our subjective perspective.

Conclusion

That would be why we often feel blessed with a fortune after we begin to go in our direction.

We can use any event as an opportunity to move in our direction.

This knowledge might allow us to focus on our direction in life rather than good or bad luck.
