Making Decisions Would Make Our Lives Easier Rather Than Continuous Success

Due to my poor physical condition, I will write briefly today.

How to deal with a dilemma

I had a problem today. It was a dilemma of whether to choose cleaning or resting.

I like cleaning up the house. Every Saturday morning is the day I can clean the house. My parents go out every Saturday morning, so I can do it freely.

However, I was in a terrible physical state this morning.

That made me struggle with which to choose between cleaning and resting.

You may have experienced similar dilemmas, such as between physical want and mental wish, love and duty, and long-term desire and short-term satisfaction.

Emphasizing decisions over success

Perhaps it may not make much difference which to choose when we are torn between choices. Although rationality often provides us with another option that makes both unnecessary, we cannot always find such a solution from the beginning.

In other words, making decisions would make our lives easier rather than aiming for continuous success.

Rationally speaking, when the pros and the cons are similar, it is pointless to continue to worry. It would be better to make a decision, including waiting and stopping thinking. That gives us feedback on the breakthrough.

In my case, I decided to rest at first. However, when I lay down on the bed for a few minutes, I felt that my body didn’t want to rest. It seemed to be my weak liver’s problem. That allowed me to clean up the house calmly. Gentle physical exercise made me feel comfortable.

Feedback gave me moderation, although it may not make much difference whether we worry or decide.

Conclusion

That is why making decisions would make our lives easier rather than continuous success.

Anyway, I will take a break today.
