Now I am enjoying a rational life. It is gradually eliminating my hesitation. In other words, I have become decisive. Today, I will talk about how to make our lives easier in terms of decision-making.
How to stop disgusting things
Sometimes, we want to stop disgusting things decisively. Many unrewarded activities exhaust us.
Although we know they will not make fruit, we often cannot cut them off. One reason is due to our hesitation. We hope that it may yield results someday. In addition, we don’t want to admit defeat. We want to prove that our decision was correct.
That makes it difficult to give up and prevents our change.

I had similar problems for a long time.
However, after I started a rational life, I could make decisions without hesitation. In addition, my life became easier.
Today, I will explain how and why. This style might allow you to stop disgusting things resolutely.
Clear criteria and strict decisions
I created clear criteria and began to make strict decisions. That reduced my stress and made my life easier.
Usually, we think that our lives become difficult if we judge strictly. Imagine a situation that allows for no exception. We have to obey the rules severely. It is suffocating. There is no freedom. We don’t like restrictions.

However, if we can create the rules freely, they benefit us. We create rules for ourselves freely to restrict our behaviors. Although it sounds contradictory, it allows us to get feedback and improve our judgment.
The cause of our confusion
Rationality means making decisions based on clear criteria with numbers or degrees. The root problem of our confusion is that there are no such criteria.
For example, there are two kinds of activity, as follows:
- Activities aimed at obtaining results: We make efforts patiently. We decide things based on results. If it seems unachievable or inefficient, we should stop it immediately.
- Activities that are enjoyable in themselves: We have fun with them. We decide things based on our moods. If it starts to get boring, we should stop it immediately.

Confusing them makes our lives difficult. Perhaps you can understand what will happen if we mix them up.
We sometimes start an activity for a result that requires patience. After a while, it turns out to be unachievable. However, we continue it just because we dislike failure. Although it should not be decided based on our mood, we do so. Naturally, it demotivates us, causes stagnation, and exhausts us.
Similarly, we sometimes start an activity based on our mood. It is an enjoyable activity. After a while, it becomes boring. Sticking to it naturally makes us struggle to maintain motivation. If we start something based on our mood, we have to stop it based on our mood. In other words, we should not pursue results from such an activity.
Making rules for ourselves
Making rules for ourselves means creating such criteria. That prevents switching our original purpose.
If we switch goals, we should end the activity clearly and start anew to prevent such confusion. Although we can make our hobbies into jobs and vice versa, draw clear boundaries.
Of course, an activity has both aspects. In such a case, determine the degree clearly.

In my case, blogging is my fun, but at the same time, I want to make it a revenue source 5 or 10 years from now. I update every day patiently and joyfully. I have recently decided to write 2 hours a day patiently. It is for the results. At the same time, I do the rest freely according to my mood. It is for fun.
These criteria gave me balance and made it easier.
Starting and stopping lightly
These clear criteria and strict judgment make our activities easier. We can start and stop lightly. Of course, we can adjust them.
We can start a lot and stop a lot. In my case, I started Twitter but gave up soon. It would be healthier than not quitting.
For example, the most stressful thing might be your job. What did you start it for? It might maintain your everyday life, not just for money. In such a case, it is ridiculous to keep your job at the cost of your everyday life.

If you started for results, set the criteria for those results. If you started for fun, set the standards for that degree of enjoyment. Then, judge them strictly.
They will give you appropriate feedback. Judging them strictly will improve your life.
Conclusion
That is why rationality makes decisions and makes our lives easier.
Make decisions based on clear criteria with numbers or degrees. The root problem of our confusion is that there are no such criteria.
This style might allow you to stop disgusting things resolutely and improve your life.
