Logical life is interesting. After I consciously applied it, my life suddenly started to improve. It changed my life completely. One change is that I no longer feel frustrated about failure. Today, I will talk about it.
How to reduce failure frustration
Sometimes, we want to reduce the frustration of failure. It discourages us and makes us feel like our struggles are meaningless.
When we realize that our sacrifice was in vain, we lose the power to live. That is critical because we cannot live without it, especially during hardships.
On the other hand, when we live with curiosity, we rarely feel the frustration of failure. Even though we have unexpected results, we don’t recognize them as failure but as learning or feedback.

Why does this phenomenon happen? If we can be in such a mental state, we can try new things. That should improve our lives.
However, we don’t know how to make it happen.
To stimulate our curiosity, I will explain why logical life turns unexpected outcomes into learning. This big picture might give you continuous satisfaction and reduce the frustration of failure.
Two kinds of failures
Logical attempts eliminate failures.
There are two kinds of failures, as follows:
- The mistake that is fundamentally correct but has minor mistakes
- The fundamentally wrong mistake

Rationality makes it easier to achieve the former. On the other hand, empathy tends to make us choose the latter. They cause the difference in how we feel about the outcome.
Let’s look at the logic below.
Rational failure without stress
If we rationally try something, we first consider the principles that lead to success before we work on it.
Without them, we cannot start trying. Rationality means predicting what is to be secured to succeed.
For example, if we want to preserve food, we consider the principles of what makes food spoil. We can predict that the growth of harmful bacteria will spoil the food. Refrigeration, freezing, salting, and smoking are methods to prevent bacterial growth.

That principle prevents big mistakes. We can predict that a refrigerator is for short-term preservation because bacteria are still active at that temperature. Freezing under 18 degrees Celsius is more efficient because it is a lower temperature at which almost all bacteria cannot be active.
The change in taste and texture is a small mistake. We don’t have a critical mistake, such as an upset stomach. That satisfies us and allows us to try lightly. Even if we make mistakes, our approach is fundamentally correct.
Failure caused by imagination
On the other hand, without such rationality, we try to imitate the successful superficially.
For example, if smoked food is popular, someone might think that smoking is a successful way to preserve food. He imitates it. He makes a campfire and holds a meat chunk over the fire for a few minutes. People appreciate meat aged for over a year, so he leaves the meat in the room for one year. One year later, he eats it.
Naturally, he has diarrhea. He might be hospitalized. He doesn’t know why he failed.

He naturally begins to fear failure. There is no wonder. If we fail, we will end up hospitalized. With such a risk, there is no way we can take the challenge.
However, he thinks, “I have to succeed. I have to overcome the fear. I can do it! Think positively! Visualize the clear, successful state! Try again! I am a winner!”
We realize that he is fundamentally wrong. It is not a matter of mental power or self-image. It is a matter of logic.
However, he cannot understand it. This is because he is ignoring his rationality.
Getting out of the misunderstanding
If we are in the fundamentally wrong direction, we remain unsatisfied, even if we achieve a lot. We cannot celebrate accomplishments from the heart. In addition, the joy disappears in the short term.
That misleads us. We misunderstand that our dissatisfaction is due to our imperfect accomplishments. If we achieve more perfectly, we should be more fulfilled! Then, the endless struggle without satisfaction begins.
On the other hand, if we can head in the right direction from the big picture, small mistakes will no longer matter. We can fulfill our desires, even if they are not perfect satisfaction.

In my case, after I started to decide rationally, my life suddenly began to improve without stress, especially in my daily diet. It was the most unsatisfying area I had recently.
It includes money. My anxiety has decreased significantly. I have also found more ways to be independent of money. I will talk about them at some point.
Rationality provides us with reasonable satisfaction and solid improvement, even if it is small in the beginning.
Conclusion
That is why logical life turns unexpected outcomes into learning.
Rationality makes it easier to identify the fundamentally correct direction.
This big picture might give you continuous satisfaction and reduce the frustration of failure.
