However, people have developed even after the countless wars.
There is a contradiction between enslavement and development. Probably, there is no one on earth today whose ancestors didn’t experience defeat in war. It means that people have all been enslaved multiple times. However, it doesn’t necessarily lead to destruction in the long term.
That tells us we have to reconsider the recognition of defeat and enslavement. The defeat in war and governance by other countries doesn’t always lead to destruction. For some people, the impact is minor.
One effective way to survive would be to become a person who can adapt to the world. That would help you reduce your fear and adapt to the future more effectively, even if another country controls your nation. Today, I will explain why.

A government means a management system. We are in a changing environment. Many factors change, such as the natural environment, weather conditions, and technological development. The efficient management system remains according to those fundamental changes.
It is the same as companies in business and a computer’s OS. They compete with others, but when they decline, they merge to survive. They integrate and reorganize. When the environment changes drastically, new things that are more suitable rapidly gain a share.
In such a situation, the ones who can adapt will survive and thrive, even if they belong to the defeated side.
In war, the efficient and abundant side eventually wins in the long term. It means that war is a means to clarify which management system is more efficient and suitable.
It tells us that losing a war means updating to a better system. It is not an entirely bad thing.
The difficult part for many people is just adapting to the new language and culture. If we can do them easily, changing the governance system is not a burden. In fact, many people actively migrate to another country to become wealthier.

In other words, management systems tend not to limit those who can adapt language and culture flexibly.
For example, from a historical perspective, people who have the same language and culture are less likely to become slaves. This would be because they can communicate and adapt.
On the other hand, people who are different in language and culture were made into consumptive slaves. They cannot communicate. If it is adults who find it hard to learn a new language and culture, they have no choice but to make them work like livestock. At the same time, younger children were more expensive. This would be because they were easier to learn and adapt.
That is why slavery was particularly harsh towards adults in ancient times.
However, in modern times, such severity of enslavement has decreased dramatically. This would be because people’s cultures have become more uniform, and languages have become more understandable. Dialects and minor languages have disappeared, while major ones have remained. In addition, the management system of the government has also improved.
The relationship resembles that between operating systems and applications. The apps that are compatible with the new OS will survive. On the other hand, the apps that cannot will be eliminated.
To survive the changing era, it would be effective to become a person who can adapt to the world. Empathic and logical people tend to be adaptable to new situations. We don’t have to worry so much about changing the management system.
