Recently, I have been enjoying sewing bags, and I finally made an extra bag—more than necessary. I used to think that things I didn’t use caused confusion in my life. However, I realized that many bags didn’t trouble me as much as I thought. Let’s talk about it.
How to manage things more efficiently
Sometimes, we want to manage things more efficiently. Management allows us to increase resources and surplus without additional confusion.
Although minimalism simplifies our lives and reduces our confusion, it also limits excess resources and unnecessary activities. That prevents our activities based on curiosity, including trying new things, sharing our creations, pleasing others, and making money.
In other words, minimalism is a part of management. After simplifying enough, we need to increase things efficiently while eliminating additional confusion. That is the process of becoming abundant.

That is why we want to manage things more efficiently.
However, we sometimes don’t know how to manage things well.
One solution is adding cloth bags. Although it may sound too specific, that allows us to try various things flexibly. Today, I will explain why with my experience.
Managing items while preventing confusion
Various kinds of cloth bags would allow us to manage items efficiently while preventing confusion. Having more than enough would cause no problem.
Although I have said several times in earlier articles, cloth bags are easy to manage. Since they are soft, we can fold them and store them compactly. We can create them from old clothes, so they don’t cost so much. We can obtain plenty of secondhand clothes at garage sales cheaply.
When we have enough spare bags to store, we can lightly start new things.

For example, I recently wanted my storage space for my sewing items. My parents and I sew at the dining table in my house because there is no other extra space. When having meals, I clean everything off the table first, then eat. When we sew, we put sewing supplies back on the table.
That indicates that there is no extra space to put my items.
However, I realized that I can use the handbag I made several days ago. I was not using it. If I use it and hang it on my dining chair, I can store my items. That realization made my sewing activities more flexible and easier.
The extra management tool that I am not using gave me an opportunity.
Realizing another aspect of my desire
For another example, I preferred to walk and bike as lightly as possible. However, it is harmful to exercise outside without carrying a water bottle, especially in this cruelly hot summer. Although I put my small water bottle in the back pocket of my pants, it was uncomfortable.
Then, I realized I can use the next bag I am currently sewing. It will be a small shoulder bag. Although I started sewing it on a whim without a specific purpose, I noticed I could use it.

That allowed me to face another aspect of my desire: I had long wanted to walk with various tools. I enjoyed walking lightly but also liked gathering many things with my tools. An example is discovering edible wild plants. If I can carry scissors and small containers lightly, I can collect various plants and take them home to investigate.
The surplus bag showed me how to use it. In other words, efficient management tools allowed me to follow my curiosity while not causing significant problems, even if they are a bit excessive.
Conclusion
That is why various cloth bags allow us to manage things more efficiently.
When we have enough management tools, we can lightly start new things. Bags are typical examples.
This style might help you try various things flexibly.
