Why I Started to Reduce My Preparations

I will move out of the current apartment tomorrow. All items are packed, and I am ready to go.

Recently, I understood that rationality reduces the necessity of preparation. We don’t have to prepare so perfectly.

Every time we advance in the stages of our lives, we have to modify our balance. If we excessively prepare, we have to cut a lot of those preparations as losses.

In other words, we can prepare in moderation according to the premises of balance change.

In my case, I had to discard a lot of food stocks and daily necessities. I overly prepared out of fear of change.

Moderate preparation eliminates our hesitation to change while we are feeling at ease.

Saving for the long term does not mean security. Rationality tells us so. It is tightly associated with moderation. Excessive preparation would make us fear and prevent us from proceeding to the next stage.

Anyway, I will depart tomorrow.
