I reduced the amount of food I ate by 1/3 yesterday and recovered gradually. Although I need to rest a little more, my liver has become lighter.
This experience told me why avoiding concentration can make it easier to heal. Let’s talk about it.
How to recover from feeling unwell
Sometimes, we want to recover from a cold or feeling unwell as soon as possible.
People often say that when you have a cold, take it easy and don’t push yourself too hard.
However, we sometimes don’t know how much rest is good, especially for mild health issues. Is it bad to do desk work without moving our bodies?

For example, I often have a bad physical state because of my weak liver. It is like a mild cold, and a slight fever continues. I cannot move vigorously, but lying on the bed is a little boring. Does reading a novel count as rest?
I finally understand how to judge. Avoiding concentration can make it easier to heal. Today, I will explain the logic. This logic might help you recover from exhaustion sooner.
Is concentration a part of rest?
Concentrating on something is a part of activity, not a part of rest, even if the body is at rest. Avoid long concentration activities when you have a cold.
For example, you should avoid reading a novel, viewing social networks, and watching movies when you want to relax.
Instead, sleep quietly or listen to calming music that doesn’t stimulate your imagination, and spend your time idly.

This is because concentration makes the body tense.
We have two physical states: tension and relaxation. If we focus on something, the body naturally tightens. The mind is connected to the body. We cannot relax while concentrating on something.
That is why we have to avoid long concentration activities when we have a cold.
Relaxing more
That tells us why we have to consciously relax, especially if we have intense empathy, even if we don’t have a cold.
Empathy creates the emotions that excite us and keep us tense. If we keep that up all day, it is natural to be exhausted.
It is better to stop feeling stressed. It is the opposite of relaxation.
In my case, I often studied something, browsed the internet, or read books even when I was feeling unwell. I thought that these activities were forms of rest, but they were all bad for my recovery. I need to reduce the amount of text in this blog when sick, although it is sometimes difficult for me.

Relaxation is not a state where the body is not moving. It is a state of not concentrating on something. It includes not focusing on our imagination.
Examples of activity are blending in nature, listening to music without lyrics, listening to songs in a foreign language we cannot understand, or looking at a candlelight. In my case, I have started listening to music through foreign internet radio when I want to relax.
In other words, we rely too much on concentration to escape from overly intense empathy. However, it can also strain us.
Creating time without focus relaxes us more.
Conclusion
That is why avoiding concentration can make it easier to heal the body.
Relaxation is not a state where the body is not moving. It is a state of not concentrating on something.
Creating time without focus relaxes us more.
This logic might help you recover from exhaustion sooner.
