Independent Lifestyle That Makes the Most of Differences

Now I am enjoying thinking of the lifestyle of independence. It would be a way of life for people with individuality. Today, I will talk about it from the perspective of using differences.

What kind of life suits us?

Sometimes, we want to know what kind of life suits us, especially if we have individuality.

We might feel that we are different from our surroundings in many areas.

For example, the majority of people prefer to be the same as their surroundings. They like trendy things that everyone is talking about. Being the same as their social members reassures them.

On the other hand, we might prefer focusing on differences. We might want to know real-life examples of a more unique way of life. When we see that someone with unique individuality lives vigorously, we might be encouraged. We might find that working as employees is hard. We might love doing things freely and not be good at following strict rules or manuals.

Knowing the independent way of life

These unique tendencies make us want to know how to use these qualities.

However, we sometimes don’t know it. It prevents us from using our individuality.

In such a case, knowing the independent way of life could help us. It is a lifestyle that makes the most of differences. Today, I will talk about it.

Independence: a lifestyle to benefit from difference

There are two ways of life, as follows:

  • A way of life to depend on society more: This is a way of life that makes the most of being the same. The same type of people come together and achieve something on a large scale. The same type is their ally, and the different ones are enemies that should be eliminated.
  • A way of life to be more independent: This is a way of life that makes the most of differences. Away from society, developing a unique way of life. They create new possibilities by diversifying. They like simple, unique things and eliminate similar ones.

If you prefer focusing on differences, the latter would suit you. Let me explain the examples below.

Four differences in styles of how we judge

I will give you four tips on how to use our tendencies in our lives.

  1. Add things vs. reduce things
  2. Imagining successful people vs. knowing the diversity of living
  3. Confidence that is the same vs. one that is different
  4. Solving by continuing vs. solving by changing

1) Add things vs. reduce things

First, we have different styles of making our lives easier: adding or reducing things.

The difference is that society eliminates from the most different, but independence eliminates from the most the same.

Perhaps this is why society bullies people who are different. Child bullying is a prime example. They don’t like difference.

On the other hand, independent people prefer differences and eliminate similar things. Minimalism is an example. We don’t need unnecessary things if they are the same. We like simplicity.

This tells us that reducing our belongings often gives us freedom and simplicity in life. If we focus on the big differences, we don’t have to worry about the small things. Focusing on a broader perspective makes our lives easier.

2) Imagining successful people vs. knowing the diversity of living

Second, we have different styles in how to motivate ourselves: imagining successful people or knowing the diversity of living.

People in society take similar ones on their side. On the other hand, independent people take the unique way of life from a different person.

We often want to learn about strange worlds and cultures. Perhaps this gives us different ways of life as opportunities.

It gives us many benefits. First, we can be encouraged and move toward more independence. Next, we can use their logic. Even if we cannot use things like them, we can often apply logic—including their ways of thinking and values—to our lives. Finally, even if we cannot use their styles now, we could use them in the future. This world is a changing environment. Knowing diversity gives us opportunities.

This tells us how to motivate ourselves. We might need neither examples of people who have already succeeded nor to imagine being like them. The lives of unique people motivate us.

3) Confidence that is the same vs. one that is different

Third, we have different styles in the shape of confidence: confidence that is the same or different.

People in society feel safe by knowing that they are the same and unchanged. Independent people are reassured by knowing everyone and everything is different and changing.

Usually, people feel safe when they know people around them feel or think the same way as them. This is because they can unite when something bad happens. That gives them confidence.

On the other hand, independent people are relieved to know that everyone thinks differently. This is because they can act based on their own ideas. We can understand that there are various answers. This gives us confidence.

This tells us how to have confidence. Different answers reassure us.

4) Solving by continuing vs. solving by changing

Finally, we have different styles of solving problems: by continuing or by changing.

When people are dissatisfied with something, people in society are convinced by knowing everyone is equal and fair. On the other hand, independent people are convinced by knowing everyone is free.

They usually accept the grievance by knowing everyone is equal and under fair circumstances. It gives the image that everyone has dissatisfaction and is patient in some areas. This allows them to continue to do the same thing patiently.

On the other hand, independent people accept their complaints by understanding everyone is free. It gives the image that everyone has dissatisfaction and can improve based on their creativity. This allows them to change their circumstances.

This tells us the style to solve problems. We can focus on what or how to change based on freedom. Confirming our freedom often provides us with another solution.

Conclusion

They are the ways of life of independent people.

It is a lifestyle that makes the most of differences.

This knowledge might allow you to live in your own way.
