‘Do What You Love; That Would Be Happiness’: The Final Word Before My Moving

This is a scheduled post written several days ago. Since I will move to the new home on Dec. 6th, this would be the final article before my move.

Today, I will talk freely before parting with my old environment.

How to be happy

Sometimes, we want to be happy, especially when we face inevitable misfortune.

However, we might not know what happiness is or how to realize it. We sometimes also don’t know how to live in such a situation. That breaks our hearts.

I also felt it after I came to have to leave this house. I have thought about my life and the future.

I am just before leaving for a new journey. Although I don’t know what the future holds, I finally accepted it.

Today, as the final word before my departure to the new future, I will talk about what my happiness is and how to realize it. This might give us hope.

‘Do what you love; that would be happiness.’

If I leave short sentences at the end, it would be like this now:

‘Do what you love; that would be happiness.’

This is the most honest feeling I want to tell someone like me.

I have long considered what happiness means to me. I could not live the same way as my surroundings. When I was in university, I realized that their way of life differed from mine. That made me head toward my way of life.

I didn’t want to regret my life, even if I could not live long. I wanted to ‘live’ and didn’t want to live while killing myself. That was why I started my business and worked independently.

Perhaps that was the starting point of my journey.

The definition of happiness

In my mind, the definitions of fulfillment and happiness are the same. It is ‘no regrets.’

If we don’t regret my decisions, I can say that I was happy enough. My state of happiness could be neither exciting nor active. It could be a quiet state.

Sometimes, it could be a hard time. However, if I didn’t regret the decision, it would turn into happiness after a while. In other words, hard times can be parts of happiness.

To avoid regretting our way of life, we have to be honest with ourselves. As long as we can decide based on our honesty, we can accept any results, no matter how disappointing they are.

Of course, we sometimes compromise by our limitations. We cannot realize our ideals immediately. However, we can accept the detours if we are honest with our minds.

Perhaps if we can travel with our true minds, any journey will be fulfilling.

If you are honest with yourself, failure is okay!

If we live such a way of life, we will understand someday that we don’t know what is good or bad.

Sometimes, a bad event turns out to be a gift. On the other hand, continuing to lie to oneself causes suffering.

We can fail. Failure is okay. We don’t know what our honest mind is from the beginning. So did I. I was confused about my values by an inferiority complex and didn’t know how to live.

Although it was a hard experience, it was also a part of my fulfillment. I made decisions on my own, so I didn’t regret them.

What is love?

To do what we love, we have to face our honest minds. In other words, we already have love inside us. Try to feel it. Your love accepts your failure.

Failure that was caused by our honesty drives out disguised love from our hearts. After we fail many times with our honesty, the last thing that remains will be true love.

Live your life. Even if it fails, your love purifies as long as you are honest with yourself.

Don’t worry. Relax.

Conclusion

That was the final word before my departure.

I will depart from my hometown.

Goodbye, my hometown.

Thank you, my old part of life.

I love you.

I am leaving.

So, let’s go to the next stage and find the new logic that fulfills us.

Thank you for reading this article. I hope to see you in the next one.
