Explaining Why Choosing a Harder Way Often Gives Us Energy

Now I am moving energetically toward the beginning of my secluded life. It might sound contradictory because I have high-stress-bearable energy to create a low-stress life. However, that is also a part of my life.

Today, I will explain why choosing a harder way, which doesn’t need patience, often gives us energy.

How to live energetically

Sometimes, we want to live energetically. Moving toward a hope or a dream gives us one aspect of fulfillment.

In such a state, we can proceed without being overwhelmed by the difficulties. If we are creative, we can flexibly change our direction or goals. That allows us to change our styles according to the situation. If we are empathic, the future vision encourages us. That gives us the energy to keep going.

That is why we want such a vigorous state.

However, we sometimes cannot have it because we don’t know how our minds work. We often cannot control our emotions or thoughts, including motivating ourselves. Even if we try to keep positive forcefully, there are side effects, such as feeling depressed later.

In other words, we have to follow the mechanisms of our minds. If we ignore them, our minds can behave unexpectedly and become more out of control.

Today, I will explain why choosing a harder way, which doesn’t need patience, often gives us energy. This knowledge might allow us to live more comfortably.

The six laws of mental energy

To explain it, I will introduce the mental logic behind getting energy. There are six laws that affect our mental energy. By the way, this is my opinion. It could be wrong.

  1. All life, including humans, tries to live using as little energy as possible.
  2. The more convenient our environment is, the less energetic we will be.
  3. The less convenient our environment is, the more energetic we will be.
  4. Creative people tend to be more adaptable to material inconvenience.
  5. Empathic people tend to be more tolerant of waiting. (Waiting is an inconvenience of time.)
  6. Moving toward a more convenient life gives us the energy to make it happen. The amount of energy depends on how much it improves our lives.

Tips to be more energetic

Those laws tell us how to deal with our minds. I will introduce several ideas.

  • We don’t have to force ourselves to live energetically.
  • We don’t have to fear inconvenience, especially if we are empathic and creative.
  • Empathic and creative people can enjoy both convenient and inconvenient lives.
  • We don’t have to be patient. We can move in the direction of comfortable living.

Let me explain each.

1) We don’t have to force ourselves to live energetically

First, we don’t have to force ourselves to live energetically, as long as we can live peacefully because our goal is a life that requires less energy. Reducing unnecessary consumption allows us to share resources with other lives. That is more efficient for lives to expand. That is how life has evolved and survived.

That tells us there is no problem as long as we can live comfortably. Although an active life gives us excitement, it is not the goal. The goal is a comfortable life. Of course, our pursuit of comfort might be endless, but an energetic life is a means.

Confusing about them will make us feel uneasy. A typical example is an obsession with contribution. That makes us think we are worthless if we don’t create value.

We don’t have to force ourselves to create values. They are means. Our goal is a comfortable life.

2) We don’t have to fear inconvenience

Second, we don’t have to fear inconvenience. We can live more vigorously, even if we fail with our current plan.

We often don’t want to lose our convenience, even temporarily. That makes us hesitate to change our futures.

However, we can get energy at the expense of our convenience. That is why we can often become more energetic after we get depressed and accept the failure. Although accepting failure makes us lose vigor temporarily, we can be more vigorous after the recovery.

Of course, we have to avoid fatal failure. However, we don’t need to fear little losses because we can get more energy. That tells us that taking risks might be more valuable than we thought.

3) Empathic and creative people can enjoy convenient and inconvenient lives

Third, empathic and creative people can enjoy both convenient and inconvenient lives.

Trying to create a secluded life would be an example. A secluded life is inconvenient in terms of the low availability of social resources. It might not be easy to go shopping or use services. However, it is convenient in terms of a peaceful life away from social stress.

Although trying to realize such a life requires high energy, it is also fun.

That tells us we don’t have to stick to one aspect. We can use them depending on our situation.

4) We don’t have to be patient

Finally, we don’t have to be patient because we don’t feel patience in our lifestyles. If we can use our personality properly, we can naturally do things at our own will, even if they are too hard for others. That is the natural patience.

We never feel stressed in such a state because we have energy.

That is why choosing a harder way, which doesn’t need patience, often gives us energy. If we give up short-term ease, we can focus on creating long-term comfort. Avoiding patience makes us vigorous. They allow us to choose the direction that suits our nature.

Conclusion

That is why choosing a harder way, which doesn’t need patience, gives us energy.

Inconvenience gives us the energy to live.

This knowledge might allow us to live more comfortably.
