Creators May Be the People Who Turn Unhappiness Into Happiness

I wrote about happiness in disguise in the story of the previous article (this article). I like that concept. I also thought creators may be the people who turn unhappiness into happiness. Today, I will talk about it.

How to be proud of our activities

Sometimes, we want to be proud of our activities, especially when we lose confidence. We might feel like we are taking a detour and wasting our life. That causes our impatience, makes us want to take the shortest path to success, and stagnates our situations.

On the other hand, if we find the meaning of our activities, we can be proud of them. Even if they require failure, we can accept it because we know it is necessary.

However, we sometimes cannot have such a mental state.

Today, I will introduce one way of thinking: Creators are the people who turn unhappiness into happiness. This concept might give you confidence and allow you to take a detour in life.

Turning parts of unhappiness into happiness

One of the most precious aspects of creativity is turning parts of unhappiness into happiness, in my opinion.

Frugality is an example. We want something valuable but cannot afford it or want to use our wealth more efficiently. That makes us find less valuable things and combine them. For example, we don’t want to buy finished pancakes, so we cook with milk and wheat.

It can be said that those less valuable things are the less happy ones. We turn unhappiness into happiness when we create something. It is a precious activity.

The emotional creation: one form of making unhappiness into happiness

Expressing our emotions in our products is the same.

We might have had a hard time in the past. We might have suffered, wanted to cry, could not, and suppressed our emotions. Those were unfortunate experiences.

However, we turn those past emotions into our current creations. Sometimes, it resonates with someone’s mind, and the person can also clear his past emotions.

Even if excluding such a resonance with others, we are turning our past unhappiness into current happiness. That is a valuable activity.

In addition, even if we fail, it will be a new resource of happiness because failure is one kind of unhappiness. It is a material for creating new happiness. We can continue to improve our lives with those resources.

The concept that we are still children

In other words, we are children from the perspective of people who live 1,000 years later. We are allowed to fail, as long as we are children. That is a necessary process.

We can understand this is natural if we think calmly. We can become adults by spending our childhood.

Otherwise, it will make us sick. For example, imagine a child who has to act like an adult without accepting being a child. We can soon anticipate that it will make his mind sick after he becomes an adult.

We need those stages of life. Children don’t know anything, and it is usual. Humans in primitive times didn’t judge scientifically, and it was natural. Farmers who lived 10,000 years ago had no useful weather forecasting, and no one can blame it.

If so, no one can say we have to be perfect. We will be ‘children’ from the perspective of people who live 1,000 years later.

Accepting the past as a stage in life

The past stages were necessary.

In my case, I have recently found that living quietly in the countryside suits my nature. If I had decided to live in the countryside from the beginning, I would not have suffered.

However, the past days I lived in the urban area were a necessary process. If I hadn’t experienced it, I would have been uncertain whether the country life suited me. Even if I lived in the countryside, I would keep doubting which lifestyle suits me.

I once thought that the exhaustion of living in the city area was a waste of my life. However, it was natural. That was one of the stages to grow up. That stage of unhappiness allowed me to create a new stage of happiness that suited me.

If we continue to turn parts of unhappiness into happiness, we will reach happiness someday. We don’t have to despair of short-term failure. We are still children of humans from the perspective of people who live 1,000 years later. We can focus on our current problems and need not act as perfect, like someone who lives 1,000 years later.

In other words, it has a meaning. Perhaps that is the natural way of life.

Conclusion

That means creators are the people who turn unhappiness into happiness.

We will be children from the perspective of people who live 1,000 years later. We can focus on our current problems. That will lead us to our futures.

This concept might give you confidence and allow you to take a detour in life.
