Since I have to go out today due to my brother’s birthday and don’t have enough time, let’s talk briefly about something that impressed me yesterday.
How to create work that touches others’ hearts
Sometimes, we want to move others’ hearts, especially if we are creators or artists. Influencing others with our products fulfills us.
However, there are times when we cannot do it. One factor is an inferiority complex. It confuses what is essential and makes us imitate superficial characteristics.

That is why we want to identify the inconsistency in our work. Despite our multiple contradictory aspects, consistency in a work enhances its quality.
One solution is to focus on our work concept and to integrate its essence. Today, I will explain it. This perspective might help you improve your products.
A work that resonates with others’ souls
If you want to improve your products tactically, try focusing on your work concept and integrating its essence.
To make it easier to understand, let’s look at an example.
Yesterday, I participated in a local autumn festival. There was a small performance stage, and multiple bands played music and sang songs.

When we watch such local musical performances, we often understand that they are missing something. In other words, they are amateurs. Even if they have been playing for a long time, something important is lacking compared to influential performers—they often become professionals soon.
A powerful artist resonates with others’ souls, even when performing alone. They have something distinctive. You may have had a similar experience.
The inconsistencies in performance
Yesterday, I was finally able to verbalize it: an influential performance was integrated, while an amateur’s was inconsistent.
For example, a singer I saw yesterday was trying to sing a passionate love song. However, I felt that she was paying attention to singing the notes accurately and not going off pitch as skillfully as possible.
That made her songs boring. To sing in tune, she had to limit her volume. That prevented singing from the diaphragm. As a result, the energetic song meant to vibrate others became gentle and boring.
She might have felt that she should sing in tune because all professional singers do so. It is a form of an inferiority complex. Although she was singing a song, she was not singing love.

For another example, another singer wildly sang a famous energetic song that encourages going one’s own way. However, he was immersed in his world just by shouting, like heavy metal.
Heading in a unique direction doesn’t mean rushing forward recklessly and bravely. It is always scary, so such a song is logically persuasive. That calms us and encourages us to go forward.
Those inconsistencies ruin their performances, even if they sang influential songs. In other words, we have to integrate the intentions of the work.
Expressing it directly
To solve that problem, try considering it this way: you can sing off-pitch. You don’t have to sing accurately. You also don’t have to make yourself appear brave.
However, you must clarify what you want to convey. Express it directly. There is no need for unnecessary decoration. You don’t need twisted expressions when you want to share something crucial. Distorted expressions are for people when they start to give up influencing others and get bored with life. Although choosing distorted ways may be one aspect of life, it is not a rational means for creators with a wish to express something.

Try looking at works that have moved your heart. You will find that those works are integrated. When we express something clearly, superficial mistakes hardly affect its essential value. A beautiful work is still beautiful even if it is imperfect.
In other words, we have to know the essence of what an expression is. Singing love differs from just singing a song well. There is an attitude that makes the song excellent. That tells us which is the crucial mistake: whether it is failing to convey what you want to express or a technical failure.
That awareness might show you the essence you need to focus on. That enables you to integrate your behavior and concept into your work.
Conclusion
