Looking for Good Cycling Routes

I am now interested in the outside world more than our mental system.

Everything changes; they often form historical cycles. Perhaps I am currently in the phase of focusing on creativity.

Since there is nothing to talk about regarding our mental system, I will introduce something I have discovered recently in my current living area.

Enjoying cycling

I like cycling as well as walking. Since I got my bicycle last week, I have been looking for comfortable cycling routes.

There are various ways to enjoy cycling. For example, some enjoy biking on rough, muddy slopes with a mountain bike. It would be the fun of controlling the bicycle and intuitive judgment. On the other hand, some prefer long-distance biking. It would be a pleasure to see the scenery and get stable, continuous exercise.

In my case, it is the latter. My purposes of cycling are relaxation and exercise. Jogging doesn’t suit me because it overly drains me physically. I prefer to maintain light exercise for a longer time rather than an intense one for a short time. That is why I like walking and cycling.

Looking for the best path

My conditions for a favorable cycling and walking road are as follows:

  • A place with an open view and good scenery
  • Nicely paved road
  • Less traffic
  • Fewer ups and downs

I found two preferred routes. However, they have their pros and cons.

One route is the seaside way. It has a nice view, but there is much traffic and several ups and downs.

The other route is the rural area. It is a long, flat path with less traffic, but it is boring.

Creating good routes

In our lives, perfect satisfaction is rare. However, that is where our creativity shines.

We can combine enjoyable routes. In my case, I categorize areas based on whether they are suitable for enjoying scenery, engaging in stronger exercise, or participating in light exercise. By combining them based on our mood of the day, we can make a comfortable route. That makes one ideal state unnecessary for us.

The same goes for our lives. We don’t have to create one ideal life from the beginning. We can categorize our time spending and find a balance.

We can also intentionally choose a difficult path in the early stages of life, and then we can prioritize relaxation later. Those combinations will increase life satisfaction earlier.

Conclusion

Anyway, I am currently exploring the outside world.

I am focusing on balance instead of improving my life.

That would be the rational way to satisfy my life.
