The summer has come, and it is already too hot in my area. Since the heat is starting to drain my energy, let’s talk about a topic close to me.
Organizing the messy room
Now I am organizing a room cluttered with fabric. My retired parents sew and earn additional income, so there are various fabrics in this house.

They told me that there were expensive fabrics as well as relatively inexpensive ones. Let’s introduce them.
Differences in fabrics

The above fabric is an expensive one. It has delicate embroidery and thickness. Indeed, it appears impressive when presented in this manner.

However, my parents said that the above cloth was the cheaper one. I wanted to shout, “Why?!” Despite its intricate embroidery and design, it is inexpensive.
Since I had to prioritize organizing over filling my curiosity, I didn’t ask why. I still don’t know what makes the price difference.

The above fabric is a valuable one. It is not embroidery, but a picture is drawn on the fabric.

On the other hand, the above cloth is the affordable one. I have no idea what determines value.

The above is expensive cloth. It looks luxurious.

However, the above one is also valuable. Despite its quietness, it is premium.
I could not tell any difference in value at all!
Accepting differences
When we encounter such an incomprehensible value while lacking relaxation, we often want to insist, “We can live without knowing such a difference!”
However, that is only one aspect of values. Although we can live without such specific knowledge, the sense of distinction provides us with abundance.
Difference means that there is a better application. Behind the differences, there is always logic, such as durability, ease of washing, resistance to dirt, and low cost of materials. Design and appearance are not everything.

Ignoring them is nothing more than imposing our biased values on others. Imagine someone says, “Only extroverted people are necessary for humans. Other personalities are unnecessary. Humans can live without them.” Refusing differences is such an unreasonable behavior.
In other words, if we become rational and relax, we can enjoy those differences and create value with them.
That awareness made me curious about the differences in fabrics. Although differences create confusion, the logic behind them makes us creative and rich.
Conclusion
The above is what I am thinking about now.
Living in chaos is interesting.
Although there is confusion, we can become rich by discerning the logic.
Thank you for reading this article. I hope to see you in the next one.
