Recently, I have been trying to solve problems in my life based on rationality. It has provided me with new solutions and improved my life dramatically. My stress has drastically reduced, and my living expenses have almost become zero. These changes happened in just a few months. It is a miracle, considering my long struggle.
Rationality helps us improve our lives, especially if we have intense empathy.
Now I am trying to think of how to make money. Let’s talk about it.
How to make money rationally
Sometimes, we want to make money, especially when daily stresses exhaust us. Money is one of the useful resources.
Although it doesn’t solve all the problems, especially mental and spiritual issues, it works well for material matters. For example, we can buy food, water, and a quiet living place. That reduces our stress.

However, we sometimes don’t know how to make money efficiently. I have also been struggling with such issues for a long time.
Fortunately, I recently realized that rationality helps us. Today, I will introduce my new strategy. Although this is still an abstract concept, this logic might help you find how to earn without stress.
Two approaches to finding value
My new strategy to earn money is simple: be rational before being empathic. Business is fundamentally a less-empathic activity, as I explained in an earlier article (this article).
In other words, we need to add our philosophy that limits empathy to our business, even if we create emotional products. This approach would work well for empathic and logical people.

To explain why, let’s look at two approaches to finding value. They are as follows:
- Empathic approach: We work to fulfill emotions. We pursue the excitement of contributing to others and the emotional gratitude of others. We try to do what we can do.
- Logical approach: We work to increase relaxation. We pursue effectiveness in our lives and society. We try to identify what stresses us or people and solve it rationally.
If you have intense empathy and want to make money, choose the latter first. After you have sufficiently relaxed, contribute empathically.
Meaning vs. rationality
When we are overly empathic, we tend to pursue the meaning of our products and hesitate to receive money.
However, rationally speaking, there is no point in seeking more meaning in our works.
This is because money itself indicates meaning. People spend money because it has meaning for them. It doesn’t make sense to question the meaning of our activities when others are actively paying us money.
In other words, hesitating to accept money implies we understand neither our value nor the sense of our fans. It means we are refusing the gratitude. Naturally, we cannot feel emotional fulfillment if we refuse to receive others’ thankfulness.

That is why we cannot obtain enough satisfaction when we refuse money, no matter how we pursue mental rewards. It is contradictory.
It includes not only money but also other forms of appreciation, such as words of gratitude, kindness, proactive promotion of your products, and material compensation.
Receive these rewards and enjoy them. That is the meaning of your activity. Refusing them is not humility but confusion.
Working for relaxation
Rationality teaches us how to work for relaxation. Efficiency is something that reduces stress, while excitement is something that tenses us.
We can work for relaxation, and a logical work style protects us from excessive stress.

In this style, we focus on the most effective part. We don’t seek the meaning. We see all our work as a way to reduce stress, both for ourselves and for others. We try to identify the most stressful part and solve it. That improves our lives and others’.
Whether to prioritize our problems or others’ is considered based on efficiency. If we guess that dealing with our problem reduces our stress more than treating others’ troubles, we try to solve ours. On the other hand, if we don’t have any particularly big problems and can gain more rewards by helping others, we focus on others’ matters. We judge based on rationality.
Weakness doesn’t always mean misfortune
In other words, consider whether it is efficient for you now to search for weak people and help them empathically.
Logically speaking, being weak doesn’t mean being unfortunate. They might be happy, even if they don’t have enough.
For example, I have a weak liver, but I don’t consider it unhappy. That is a problem I need to solve, and I have an ability called rationality, which allows me to solve it. Although I often struggle with it, I can also enjoy discovering efficient ways to treat my liver. It is not unfortunate; it is one form of happiness as long as I am rational.

The same goes for helping weak people. Not having something fundamental doesn’t mean being unhappy. We have to build a philosophy towards weakness. It would also affect our happiness.
Rationality tells us that we don’t need to force ourselves to help others when we are suffering. It means we are the weak people in society. Sometimes, satisfying ourselves leads to improving society.
Philosophy based on rationality doesn’t go against empathy. It allows us to help weak people efficiently.
Conclusion
That is my strategy for making money.
Be rational before being empathic if you have intense empathy.
Although this is still an abstract concept, this logic might help you find how to earn without stress.
Thank you for reading this article. I hope to see you in the next one.
