How to solve money problems
Sometimes, we want to solve money problems to improve our lives. We want to live more peacefully and independently. However, the matter of money often bothers us.
Even though independence means reducing our reliance on money, we need it more or less. The people I met who had individuality and wanted to be independent always had this problem. We cannot ignore it.
It means we have some misconceptions about business. We have to know how to deal with business and money. If we have an appropriate attitude, we should get along with them more easily.
However, we don’t know what is wrong with our thoughts and what makes us poor at business.
Spirituality that hinders business
I have recently come to think that this cause lies in our misunderstanding about the relationship between business and our spirituality. Business has nothing to do with spirituality. However, many spiritualists say that business is a spiritual activity.
They might say,
“Business is an activity that makes people happy.”
“Desire strongly, and results will follow, even money.”
Perhaps you have heard such words. I have also heard of them and liked these concepts that connect business to spirituality.
However, I recently noticed that they are a misconception. Although they might work for our own way of life, such as happiness, they don’t work for achieving social power, such as governance, war, or business. On the contrary, these teachings confuse us and make us poor at making a profit.
Today, I will explain why they cannot apply to money and why I gave up such ideas. This perspective might allow you to make money more efficiently and use your spirituality more appropriately.
The contradiction of spiritual teachers
In my opinion, business has nothing to do with spirituality. If you are empathic and poor at business, try giving up on thinking of business as a spiritual activity. Then, try thinking tactically. This perspective can help you solve your money problems.
To explain the logic, let me introduce a contradiction about spirituality in business.
The typical contradiction is this telling: business is an activity that makes people happy. Spiritual teachers who sell their own spiritual products often say so.
However, there is an inconsistency: If so, why do they not distribute their products for free? They often sell their products even at high prices.
Perhaps you also had such doubt at least once. If they want to help others and their products are valuable, they should give them away for free! It helps me and makes me happy! Why don’t they do it!? It is contradictory!
I know I am telling an absurd thing, but this reveals their lies.
Their inappropriate answers
They are lying. Those lies cause our confusion about business.
Probably they disagree with the above opinion because they cannot live or continue their activities. They will say, “Money is also needed for materials. I need money to keep this activity. This is why I sell my products.” Sometimes, they might say, “That is for your future. You have to grow gradually. These products are too early for you. That is why I am putting prices on them.”
They are inappropriate as answers because these words are based on their problems, not ours. In other words, they are imposing their problems on us as if they were ours.
They can keep their activities if they add other supports or sources of income, like charity. That is their problem, not ours.
Whether it is necessary for us is the same. It is something we decide, not something they do. If they want to limit people, they just need to set conditions and distribute them for free instead of putting a price on them. This is also not our fault.
They want money for themselves. They need money to solve their problems. It is not for us.
Business vs. spirituality
However, they cannot say so. Maybe this is because they want to show only the spiritual aspect. They want to hide their own wants as much as possible. That makes their product convincing.
In other words, they want to believe they are purely ‘making others happy.’ If they accept doing their pricing just for them, it becomes impure in terms of spirituality. It makes them inconsistent and contradictory.
That would make them lie to their customers.
Maybe these spiritualists also feel that business has nothing to do with spirituality.
Business is just an activity of exchanging value. Less empathic people also do business and are often better at it than empathic people.
Perhaps these spiritualists want to believe that all their activities are sacred. That makes them justify that business is a pure activity.
Business which is based on low-empathy
Business is essentially a low-empathy activity. If we want to help others, we do it without asking for compensation. Others’ happiness is our reward. In other words, doing business and helping others are different things. We have to distinguish them.
Confusing them makes us hesitate to price or earn money. When we are in an empathic state, we often feel we must distribute our products at as low a price as possible. This makes us poor at business.
However, if we understand that business is not a spiritual activity, we can price and sell our products without hesitation. We don’t feel guilt in pricing because it is not a spiritual activity. Even if we treat spiritual products, we can set the price freely without guilt. It is for ourselves.
Why we can be honest
Despite the contradiction, we can honestly tell our customers, “This pricing is for my life.” This is because we know we are inconsistent. We have at least two contradictory aspects: we want to help both others and ourselves. This allows us to be honest with ourselves and our customers.
Understanding this inconsistency allows us to give up applying spirituality to business. Instead, we can focus on tactical thinking. That makes us try to make money more efficiently without hesitation.
Of course, it doesn’t mean we give up all spiritual activities. We apply our spirituality to where it is required.
In other words, we need to know where to use our spirituality. Even if we use spirituality in our products, business is not the place to use it. Solving this confusion would be one key to improving your money problems.

That is why I gave up applying spirituality to business.
Business has nothing to do with spirituality. Trying to be spiritual often prevents pricing and earning money.
If you are empathic and poor at business, try giving up on thinking of business as a spiritual activity and think tactically.
