The Difference Between Logical People and Less Logical Ones: Logical People Love Process

Weeks ago, I was asked what separates logical people from those who are not. Recently, I finally became able to verbalize it. Let’s talk about it.

How to identify creative people

Sometimes, we want to identify creative people. Their mindsets often calm down our minds and stimulate our curiosity.

However, we are sometimes confused about the meaning of being creative. Many people are trying to appear as creators, especially recently.

For example, many people are publishing videos that introduce creative methods. Many individuals share paintings generated by AI. Can we call them creative?

One way to distinguish is to see whether someone is enjoying the creative process or only seeking the result. That enables us to understand creativity. Today, I will explain the logic.

Logical people vs. less logical ones

Logical sense creates creativity, and vice versa. Although they have different names, they are the same thing looked at from another angle.

We can distinguish them in the following ways:

  • Logical people love the process of rational creation. They have a consistent philosophy, even if they do different things. Their words and actions are integrated. They are trying to judge as logically as possible.
  • Less logical people who try to appear creative love only creative results. Even if they concentrate on one creative field, there is something off about them. We often sense a mismatch between their words, actions, and works, even if we cannot verbalize it well. They lack their purposes, reasoning, and rational judgment.

An example of singing songs

To make it easier to understand, let’s look at examples.

One typical difference is whether the person loves the creative process. Logical people enjoy their process, even if they struggle and suffer.

An example is expressing oneself. Suppose someone wants to express themselves by singing. Expressing oneself is one form of logical activity. In this case, they love the process of singing rather than the results. They want to sing, so they do so. They will not be satisfied just generating their songs with AI.

For logical individuals, self-expression is a rational method for understanding ourselves. Clarifying the indescribable feeling within ourselves eases us.

In other words, our expressions change depending on our mood. Someone logical may often sing songs, but they can suddenly start to dance and paint pictures.

However, their lifestyle and purpose remain consistent. They are trying to express something they are holding inside. Their songs, dances, and pictures have a consistency that describes them. The superficial form doesn’t matter since they have a solid inner desire to express themselves.

That is why they can continue even if no one is watching or recognizing them. They have fundamental inner desires, not just appearances.

Focusing on philosophy

In contrast, less logical people imitating creators behave oppositely. They are superficial without an inner desire to express.

Even if they sing well and draw beautifully, their work lacks something that can be called philosophy.

We will immediately notice if we make them express themselves differently. If they are painting, try making them sing. If they are logical, their songs convey the same vibe, even if they are unskilled. If they are less logical, their works will look disintegrated. They only rely on superficial techniques.

That may be why logical people often change their methods. Even if they change their fields, the philosophy in their work remains the same.

Conclusion

That is how to distinguish whether someone is creative.

Logical people enjoy the creative process. Even if they change their methods, their work remains the same.

That might show us the essence of creativity.
