Recently, I have tried new things. Examples are sewing bags and baking pastries. That made me realize I can enjoy various things more than I previously thought. Let’s discuss it.
How to identify our ideal work
Sometimes, we want to know what kind of work suits us. An honorable job and title motivate us.
However, we sometimes struggle with discovering them due to our unique qualities, such as empathy and creativity. We don’t know in which industry we should apply them. Even if we engage in creative and artistic work, we sometimes become tired of it.

That is why we want to know how to identify our working style.
One solution is focusing on being rational rather than seeking concrete jobs. In other words, rationality allows us to enjoy various kinds of lifestyles. Today, I will explain it with my recent examples.
Struggles with work styles
If you want to know what kind of job suits you, try being rational before identifying your ideal work.
If we are empathic and logical, it is pointless to judge based on the image of that profession. Logical sense is an ability that allows us to be interested in something unimaginable. Judging based on only an image denies our logical ability.
Rather, we should judge based on whether we are rational. Then, we can create new images and share them. That makes any job suitable for us.
To make it easier to understand, let’s look at my example.

I could not live the same way as my surroundings. In other words, I had to create my own way of making money.
That led me to invest in and create businesses that produce passive income. I used to think that passive income was superior to active income and that manual labor was inferior to intellectual work.
However, I was aware that my belief was contradictory. Active income is inseparable from passive income, and manual labor is indivisible from intellectual work. We have to work actively to create businesses that generate passive income. Intellectual work requires manual labor to some extent. There is no difference in superiority between creating something consumable and creating something replicable.
My bias toward passive income threw me off balance. I was left with nothing to do and felt lost.
Enjoying various aspects
Rationality solves that problem. If we are rational, any job suits us. In other words, without rationality, any job torments us. The kind of job doesn’t matter.
In my case, I started judging rationally this year. That made me realize I could enjoy various lifestyles.
For example, I wore a remodeled bag I sewed this summer. It was made from jeans. I used to think that people who carry remodeled bags were strange.

However, when I tried it on, it was not bad at all. I have even started to feel that I could coordinate my clothes and goods more with that kind of denim material. I didn’t expect that denim would suit me. I thought that this experience should apply to others as well. That gave me the motivation to make remodeled bags.
For another example, I wore an apron at my brother’s pastry shop. When I looked in the mirror, it made me look like a pastry chef. Strangely, it didn’t make me feel unhappy. Rather, I was excited to discover a new aspect for me.
Even if I wore a mechanic’s outfit, I would feel that it suits me.
Understanding how we can help others uniquely from a whole perspective allows us to enjoy anything we do. Since we are already showing our uniqueness, we don’t need to create unique products.
Conclusion
That is how to identify our working style.
If you want to know what kind of job suits you, try being rational before identifying your ideal work.
If we are empathic and logical, there is no suitable job for us. However, understanding how we can help others uniquely as a whole makes any job preferable for us.
This perspective might allow you to enjoy various activities.
